Shasta Lake: Itinerary
Friday
Afternoon: Leave work a few hours early and hit the road. Grab a pizza in Redding before making the final push to your campsite.
Evening: Set up your tents (or pay the kids to do it), build a campfire, and settle into a camp chair for a night of pizza and storytelling.
Saturday
Morning: With a simple propane stove there are no limits to the breakfasts you can create while camping.Omelettes, pancakes, bacon. A little meal planning at home plus some imagination and you won't miss a thing.
Day: Why not do it all? Hit the lake early for a few hours of wakeboarding. Take a break for lunch and then it's back on the water. Or go for a hike.
Afternoon: Naps!
Evening: Try your luck with a rod and reel and see if you can supplement your dinner plans with a fresh trout.
Night: A perfect time for ghost stories and s'mores, no?
Sunday
Morning: More bacon, naturally.
Day: Hit the road for home with a car full of great memories in the great outdoors.
